  Nice place. I wasn't sure what to expect in Val D'Or, but was pleasantly surprised. I travel a lot and this was one of the cleanest (if not THE cleanest) hotel I've been to.

  Beware! They charged us the tourist tax on top of our meal on our final bill which is a no no. We only found out later. Check your bills. The tourist tax should only apply to the price of the room.

  Rooms are great, park right outside your room as the lower level has exterior doors. Restaurant within the building was excellent cloth dining.

  Central location in town. Both the bar and restaurant are great and will keep you busy at the hotel. Rooms look very modern

  We ate supper at the restaurant in the hotel and it was delicious. Nice big glasses of wine too. The decor and feeling of the restaurant was warm, cozy, and elegant. Staff was so kind.

  Breakfast is... well a quick place to stop and pick something up. There is nothing warm - other than the coffee and toast. If you have time, I recommend going a few streets over the Bennedictine instead. Real food. Breakfast was also VERY busy on the Sunday morning we were there.
